Over the years, I’ve been a Master Class Sporting Clays Competitor, a Level III Sporting Clays Instructor, a 9-time NSCA Veteran on All-American Teams, and a 2-time NSCA Super Veteran on All-American Teams. I have experience coaching all levels of tournament skeet and trap & sporting clay shooters, with an emphasis on shooting mechanics and mental approach for competition success. I specialize in coaching youth, clay target beginners, and live bird shooters concentrating on basic shooting fundamentals, safety, and gun fit. From kids just starting out to more advanced competitive shooters looking to perfect their skills, I’m your guy!
My name is Jeff Foster and I am the owner and head instructor at Apex Shooting School. I have been a Master Class competitor for 18 years, and I still shoot competitively both in the US and abroad. I have been coaching for the past 10 years and have several well decorated students (feel free to contact me for references).
I am a shooter, a target setter and a coach. This mix of skills allows me to teach and coach students to get the best out of their Clays game in all aspects. My program covers the following: 1) physical techniques and tools, 2) the mental game 3) diet and nutrition, and 4) complete practice programs. I do not do 1-hour lessons, but there are plenty of good instructors out there if that is what you're looking for! If you are looking for long term coaching to get you to your goals and if you are willing to put in the time and the practice, I am the coach that can get you there. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions!
